Pajari withdraws before start of Rallye Monte-Carlo
Sami Pajari has withdrawn from Rallye Monte-Carlo after falling ill prior to the start on Thursday evening.

The young Finn had been down to drive a Toksport-prepared Škoda Fabia Rally2 at this opening round but came down with food poisoning prior to the start ceremony at Monaco’s Casino Square.
Having assessed the risk, Pajari and his team have opted to withdraw and will now look ahead to next month’s Rally Sweden (9 – 12 February).
“Of course, this is a huge disappointment,” said a disappointed Pajari. “The car felt good and working with the team has been great. You know, when life gives you lemons… this is a part of sports.
“I would like to thank everyone who has helped me. I’ll just be more hungry when the next opportunity comes. So, see you in Sweden, hopefully.”
