The Lebanese teenager rebounded from this third-place finish in Monte-Carlo, embarking on another tight tussle with his archrival Nexl. The marker for what was to come on the weekend was already laid on the first stage with Sami-Joe taking out the Karlstad Super Special Stage by just over three hundredths of a second from Nexl.
By claiming victory in Sweden, Sami-Joe now shares top honours on the season leaderboard with Kazunakota. The eRally Drivers’ rookie backed up his Monte-Carlo victory with a third-place finish on the snow and ice of Scandinavia.
On the Teams’ side of the championship, Frenchman Nexl was supported by Race Clutch team-mate Izamusing who finished in fifth position, putting their team two points ahead of eRally Drivers in the overall standings.
The Championship now moves to the Tarmac of Spain from 04-07 March for the third round of the season.
