WRC hunts for the World Rally Car era’s classic photos

The WRC this year celebrates the glorious generation of World Rally Cars, a memorable era spanning 25 years of magnificent machinery and fierce competition which ends at the close of the 2021 season.

To commemorate a landmark time in the sport’s history, we are inviting the world’s leading rally photographers to enter their favourite image from the period for the ProGrade Digital Photo of a Generation 1997 - 2021 competition.

And then we’re inviting the WRC’s fans to vote for their favourite here on wrc.com.

We’re searching for that breathtaking action shot, that stunning portrait study of a competitor’s raw emotions, that behind-the-scenes image of a team hard at work or that laugh-out-loud photo captured by being in the right place at the right time.

The competition is open to media who have held permanent accreditation to the FIA World Rally Championship for at least one season between 1997 and 2021 inclusive.
