Car Info

The Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC secured back-to-back manufacturers' championships in 2019 and 2020, firmly establishing the Korean manufacturer as a major force in World Rally Championship competition.
The i20 Coupe WRC featured a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine producing approximately 380 bhp, paired with advanced four-wheel-drive systems and a sequential gearbox. Built on a reinforced production body shell with extensive modifications, Hyundai’s engineers continuously evolved the car through multiple development iterations. The aggressive styling and aerodynamic efficiency complemented its competitive performance, making the i20 Coupe a regular podium contender across diverse terrains.
The 2019 season marked a breakthrough, with Thierry Neuville, Sébastien Loeb, Dani Sordo Craig Breen and Andreas Mikkelsen all provided crucial points throughout the campaign. Despite a calendar shortened and disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hyundai successfully defended the manufacturers’ crown in 2020, relying on consistent finishes and team depth.
