The WRC calendar 2025 is featuring all-new stops in Spain, Paraguay, and Saudi Arabia, highlighting a spectacular 14-round 2025 FIA World Rally Championship.

14 Tour Stops

Based in Olbia, rugged and sun-baked gravel tracks in the north of the picture postcard Mediterranean island ensure one of the season’s sternest challenges. Fast and narrow stages leave no margin for error, while intense heat combines with abrasive roads to test tyres to the limit.

About the rally

Based around the port city of Olbia, this sixth round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship serves up a proper mid-season stress test. Crews face punishing gravel roads that twist through Sardinia’s hills and forests, with rocks, ruts and razor-thin margins at every turn.
Tyre wear is savage, mechanical components are stretched to their limits, and one slip of concentration can be the end of your weekend. Sardinia doesn’t hand out easy wins – and it rarely goes to plan.

The challenge

Sardinia’s stages are short on forgiveness. Narrow roads snake through rough terrain with constant rhythm changes, blind crests and next to no run-off. When the heat ramps up, so does the attrition.
This event has a history of upsets. The rough roads and attrition regularly shuffle the deck – and it’s not uncommon for WRC2 stars to challenge for top five positions when others falter. Sardinia rewards those who can balance speed with brains.
Friday features two loops through Gallura’s technical tests, but it’s Saturday that usually sorts the brave from the broken. The notorious Lerno–Su Filigosu stage is back, complete with the iconic full-send moment over Micky’s Jump. Sunday brings the return of San Giacomo–Plebi after more than a decade, before wrapping up with an all-new Wolf Power Stage along the coast at Porto San Paolo.

Did you know?

  • Rally Italia Sardegna joined the WRC calendar in 2004, replacing the asphalt-based Rallye Sanremo.
  • Micky’s Jump – part of the Lerno–Su Filigosu stage – is one of the most famous jumps in rallying.
  • The 2024 edition witnessed the joint-closest WRC finish in history, when Ott Tänak beat Sébastien Ogier to victory by two-tenths of a second!
  • Sardinia’s abrasive gravel gives it one of the highest tyre wear rates in the season.
