About the Rally
Paraguay mades its WRC debut in 2025 – and it made a statement!
Based in the city of Encarnación, near the Argentina border, the event promises a mix of smooth red-earth stages and trickier technical sections through dense vegetation. While the surface is mostly soft and fast, deep ruts and sudden surface changes are expected to keep drivers guessing across the weekend.

The Challenge
What makes Paraguay unique is the blend of high-speed stages with changeable grip and tight margins. The soft gravel surface can cut up quickly, especially on second passes, creating deep ruts and catching out anyone who misjudges braking or lines.
Visibility may also be a factor – fine dust hangs in the air in dry conditions, while rain showers could quickly flip the script. Add in unfamiliar pace and limited data for teams and engineers, and Rally del Paraguay becomes a true all-round test of adaptability.
Crews who learn fast and stay flexible will thrive. Those who push too early or underestimate the conditions? They’ll pay the price.
