The story so far
Adrien Fourmaux is touted by many as a future star after winning France’s renowned Rallye Jeunes talent-spotting scheme in 2016 – a programme which launched Sébastiens Loeb and Ogier to WRC glory.
In his maiden season in 2017, Fourmaux finished third in the French junior championship in a Ford Fiesta R2.
The following year he dominated the category, winning all five rounds to lift the title and earn a WRC 2 drive in 2019 in a Ford Fiesta R5. He finished second in the category and 10th overall on his debut in Monte-Carlo and third in Britain.
In 2020, only his fourth year at the wheel, Fourmaux drove M-Sport Ford’s Fiesta Rally2 to third place in WRC2 and won San Marino’s non-championship Rallylegend event on his debut in a World Rally Car version.
The following season was when the Frenchman got his big break. After starting the year in WRC2, Fourmaux was handed the keys to a Fiesta World Rally Car at the Croatia Rally. He stunned many by taking a top-three stage time and finishing fifth.
Seven more top-tier drives followed, with his performances impressing M-Sport Ford team bosses so much that they offered him a full-time seat for 2022.
