Greensmith has made rapid progress through the ranks since his rallying debut in 2013.

Much of his experience has been gained behind the wheel of Ford Fiestas in various classes. He began in 2014 in an R1-spec Fiesta that he drove to third in the UK Fiesta Sport Trophy.

He progressed to an R2 car for the following season’s Drive DMACK Trophy which featured six WRC rounds. He returned in 2016 to finish fourth and also made his four-wheel-drive debut, driving a Fiesta R5 in WRC 2 at his home round in Britain.

In 2017 Greensmith tackled a full WRC 2 campaign in a similar car. He showed great speed but a mix of mistakes and mechanical problems restricted him to a best finish of fifth in Sweden.

Greater consistency helped Greensmith finish fourth in the WRC 2 standings in 2018 after podium finishes in Mexico, Argentina, Finland and Britain. He drove for M-Sport Ford in WRC 2 Pro in 2019 and ended third in the rankings.

Greensmith also made his World Rally Car debut in a Fiesta and enjoyed further outings on two more rallies when lead driver Elfyn Evans was injured. He showed impressive pace with a best finish of ninth in Germany.

He scored a career-best fifth place in Turkey in 2020 and leads the M-Sport Ford squad in his first full season in 2021.
