Marco Bulacia

Nationality BOL
Date of Birth 27.09.2000
Birthplace Bolivia
First Rally 2018, Rally Guanajuato México

Son of experienced Dakar Rally rider Marco Bulacia, Marco junior’s career started in karting aged just seven, and he won three national and two regional titles in Bolivia. He progressed to the UTV rally category and finished runner-up in a regional series in 2015.

He stepped up to the national championship in 2016 in a Toyota Corolla Proto and produced a massive shock by winning his class at only 15-years-old.

In 2017 he mixed rallies in his home country, winning four, with gravel events in Italy. He was invited to the Bettega Memorial event in Bologna and drove a Ford Fiesta RS WRC to the semi-finals.

The 2018 campaign brought another mixed schedule as the youngster furthered his experience. The highlights were four WRC2 rounds and victory in a Spanish gravel championship fixture.

Now at the wheel of a Škoda Fabia R5, Bulacia claimed second places in Monte-Carlo and Turkey in the following year’s WRC2 after moving across the Atlantic to Valencia in Spain to study engineering.

A drop down to WRC3 and a change to a Citroën C3 R5 for 2020 paid dividends. He was in the title fight throughout the campaign and eventually finished runner-up after three podiums from five rallies. Consolation for missing the title came with championship success in the Italian gravel series.

For 2021 Bulacia reverts to a Fabia as he returns to WRC2 with the Toksport squad.
