The Stages
- Begins on Thursday night with a colourful start ceremony and two tests through the streets of picturesque Guanajuato.
- Friday covers familiar roads around the town in the El Chocolate, Ortega and Las Minas stages, which are all driven twice. A short test in Bicentennial Park, a double run round the city’s motor racing circuit and a street stage in León lift the stage tally to 10.
- The second leg features equally challenging roads in the mountains north and east of León. Guanajuatito is joined by the returning Alfaro and Derramadero, the day ending with a re-run of the race track test and a different street stage in Leon. It is the longest day of the event with 133.78km of flat-out action.
- Sunday’s finale comprises many roads used in various forms earlier in the weekend. It ends with the popular El Brinco Wolf Power Stage.
Iconic Stage
-
El Chocolate. Friday’s 31.57km test is the second longest of the rally and rises to a breathtaking 2650 metres, one of the season’s highest altitudes. It has everything – climbs, descents, hairpins, fast sections, narrow roads and plenty of enticing corners.
