About Gus Greensmith

Gus Greensmith’s path to the WRC has been anything but conventional. Born on 26 December 1996 in Manchester, England, he first found success in karting - sharing the track with future Formula 1 stars like Charles Leclerc- before turning his focus to rallying.
His rally career kicked off in 2013, and in 2014 he won his class within the British Rally Championship in a Ford Fiesta R2. That same year, he made his WRC debut at Wales Rally GB, marking the start of his rise through the ranks. Over the next few seasons, he built experience in WRC2, gradually establishing himself as a serious contender.
2019 proved to be a breakthrough year, with two WRC2 wins and six podiums securing third in the standings. The performances earned him a step up to M-Sport’s top-level programme, where he spent the next few seasons gaining valuable experience.
Greensmith returned to WRC2 in 2023 with Toksport WRT, driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. He immediately delivered, winning in Mexico and Portugal on his way to second in the championship. He remained with Toksport for 2024, but a challenging season - marked by reliability issues and fierce competition - saw him fall short of the title fight.
Still, Greensmith’s determination remains unwavering. With unfinished business in WRC2, he heads into 2025 hungry for success and ready to fight for the championship
