The GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID cars of Sébastien Ogier, Kalle Rovanperä and Elfyn Evans went one-two-three on the South American Sunday as well as locking out the top two in the Wolf Power Stage. It marked the team's strongest final day so far this season.
“A perfect Sunday for the first time this season feels really good,” said Latvala. “This is a great result for our team – especially after the devastating blows we felt on the final days of the past two events [in Finland and Greece].
“Our drivers did a magnificent job on Sunday pushing until the end of the last stage. This result will boost the whole team and give them extra motivation for the two remaining events.”

Toyota confident in Super Sunday formula after Chile success
Toyota GAZOO Racing goes into the final two rounds of this year’s FIA World Rally Championship in the knowledge it has a Super Sunday plan figured out, that’s according to team principal Jari-Matti Latvala who praised his squad’s perfect final day last time out at Rally Chile Bio Bío.
Toyota will field cars for Ogier, Evans, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari at Central European Rally next week, but reigning champion Rovanperä will not be present in the line-up.
Latvala explained the Finn’s absence by saying: “We did plan to bring Kalle to CER, but when he stepped in and drove in Poland after Séb’s recce accident, it was not possible – we have a set number of events with him this season.”
