The Welshman admitted he was disappointed with his pace at EKO Acropolis Rally Greece earlier this month, where he suffered tyre damage, turbocharger and a low-speed roll, and wants to see a change when he gets to South America for the final gravel rally of the year.
After a solid start to the season with three podiums in three rallies, Evans has finished in the top three only once in the last six events.
Evans said: “Greece was a difficult weekend, it didn’t go as well as we would have liked. Clearly, the speed is still missing, unfortunately. In some sections and moments we were still performing OK, but I didn't feel fully at home to really push with no worries.

Evans ready for a fresh start at Rally Chile Bio Bío
Toyota’s Elfyn Evans has vowed to head to next week’s Rally Chile Bio Bío in search of the speed which has carried him to a FIA World Rally Championship silver medal in three of the last four seasons.
“I was probably too keen to finish cleanly after what’s been a difficult few days. It’s been a big disappointment lately, things have not been going well and we need to get back on the right track.
“We have some work to do and we’ll look to start again fresh in Chile.”
Evans sits fourth in this year’s drivers' championship standings, 52 points adrift of series leader Thierry Neuville with 90 points still on offer.
