Munster posted consistent top-10 times in Chile last season on what turned out to be an interesting debut to say the least. Despite his co-driver Louis Louka leaving his pacenote book in the hotel, and an off-road moment on the penultimate day, the youngster completed all 16 stages and brought the car home for a respectable 13th-place finish.
While he returns to South America on the back of another accident in Greece earlier this month, the Luxembourg driver has a result in mind when he starts round 11 next week.
“We were disappointed with Greece,” Munster said. “I think the rally was going well for us despite some small issues on the first day and the punctures. Even on the second day, the pace in the morning was encouraging and then we had this off.
“It was a small mistake with big consequences, and it’s a shame because the team put a lot of resource into getting the car in the best condition as possible in this really rough event. So, to not get a result in the end is a shame.
“We can’t rewind, we can just look forward to Chile and put everything in to get a good result there.”
