Contesting FIA Junior WRC and WRC3 in Greece, the FIA Junior ERC champion will go into Saturday’s seven stages with the lead in both categories.
Maior has only previously
podiumed once in WRC3, finishing third at Croatia Rally back in April whilst
second-placed Jürgenson topped the podium on that occasion.
Looking to round out the all-Ford
Fiesta Rally3 podium was FIA Rally Star regional winner Taylor Gill, before
succumbing to wheel damage on the day’s final test – the second running of
Tarzan. This relegated him to fifth and elevated Ali Türkkan back to third. The
Turkish driver had led early but lost more than a minute on the day’s second
contested stage when he pulled over to check suspected wheel damage.
