Gus Greensmith has reiterated his commitment to Škoda Motorsport, announcing his plans to launch a full assault on the WRC2 championship in 2024 behind the wheel of a Toksport-run Fabia RS Rally2.

The 27-year-old emerged as one of the leading contenders in the FIA World Rally Championship's premier support category in 2023 and narrowly missed out on the title alongside co-driver Jonas Andersson.

And, after finishing as the runner-up last year, Greensmith is determined to go one better in 2024. Today (Friday) he confirmed plans to return to the series, sticking with the team and car that propelled him to two rally victories in 2023.

"It's fantastic to be with Škoda for 2024," Greensmith expressed. "We enjoyed great success together in 2023, and we both share the collective ambition to vie for the World “It’s fantastic to be with Skoda for 2024,” Greensmith said. “We had great success together in 2023 and both share the collective ambition to fight for the World Championship this year.

“But, instead of finishing second, our goal is to be one place higher and win the championship. That’s the aim, and with operations being looked after by Toksport, I am really looking forward to continuing my work with Škoda Motorsport.”

Other drivers with confirmed WRC2 schedules for 2024 include Oliver Solberg, who will also utilise Škoda machinery, along with Yohan Rossel, Nikolay Gryazin and Marco Bulacia in a trio of Citroën C3 Rally2 cars. Earlier today, Sami Pajari announced his move to a new Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
