In search of the ultimate winter conditions, next year’s legendary fixture has moved up in latitude as well as altitude and will be predominantly based in the Hautes-Alpes town of Gap, birthplace of eight-time WRC champion Sébastien Ogier, from 25 - 28 January 2024.
Kicking off the season in style are two night-time special stages on Thursday evening, which follow a dazzling start ceremony in Monaco’s Casino Square earlier that day. Thoard / Saint-Geniez (20.82km) is up first before Bayons / Bréziers (25.19km), both of which run under darkness.
Crews head east of Gap on Friday where two identical loops of three special stages add up to a total of 106.10km. Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes / La Bâtie-Neuv (16.87km), Champcella / Saint-Clément-sur-Durance (17.87km) and La Bréole / Selonnet (18.31km) are tackled both morning and afternoon.
Saturday follows a similar format. Double runs of Sigottier / Valdrôme (20.89km), Les Nonières / Chichilianne (20.08km) and Pellafol / Agnières-en-Dévoluy (26.46km) add up to 134.86km on what will be the rally's longest day.
