Tidemand, a frontrunner in the FIA WRC Academy, took victory on the Vastrallyt in his homeland alongside regular co-driver Stig-Rune Skjaermoen.
The 21-year-old, who was driving a Skoda Fabia Super 2000 backed by his management company EVEN Rally, beat Jimmy Joge by 17.6s despite being handed a time penalty for an accidental jumped start early in the event based around the town of Trollhattan.
“It was really great, first the second place in the WRC Academy in Finland a few weeks ago and now this win,” said the 21-year-old. “Now the self-confidence is coming back before the WRC Academy in Germany after the frustrating period we had over the summer.”
Tidemand, the stepson of former WRC regular Henning Solberg, is currently fourth in the WRC Academy standings.
