funding call
ahead of WRC
Academy bid

Reeves, who is co-driven by his sister Rhianon Smyth, is trying to raise 300,000 Australian dollars to contest the young driver-training series, which will support six rounds of next year’s World Rally Championship.

For 500 Australian dollars, supporters will receive a sticker measuring 15cm x 15cm, which will be placed on the roof of the Ford Fiesta R2 Reeves and Smyth will use in 2012. The sticker can incorporate a company logo, somebody’s name or even a website address.

Every person buying a sticker will get a photograph showing the location of the sticker on the car, which will be signed by Reeves and Smyth.

“In 2012 we aim to compete in the WRC Academy once again with the aim of winning after the experience we have gained [this season],” said Smyth. “To help us find the 300,000 Australian dollars we would love to offer people the opportunity to partner us by having their logo, name or website on our car roof for six WRC Academy rounds. We really want to be out there in 2012 and need people to get on board and help this great cause.”

Reeves and Smyth used a similar scheme to raise funds for their outing in the Production Car World Rally Championship section of Rally Australia back in September when they sold space on the bonnet of the Subaru Impreza they used on the Coffs Coast event.
