Alex Kihurani

Inspired to take up rallying by his Kenyan father, Kihurani was 12 when he began contesting road rally events. His full competition debut came in 2003 and he has been a regular in the Rally America National Championship ever since. During that time he has guided two drivers to the coveted Rally America Rookie of the Year award with ex-BMX rider Dave Mirra taking the spoils in 2008 and Joseph Burke following suit in 2010. In 2005 he became Group 2 Rally America National champion and in 2008 he won a bronze medal in the rally section of the X Games event.
