Career Summary

As well as being the 2011 Super 2000 World Champion in 2011, Hanninen has made 33 starts in the WRC.

He has a very good pedigree, having scored his first points in Rally Sardinia in 2007, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 05. Thus he is handy on gravel as well as his country’s traditional speciality, snow.

For 2013 he has signed to drive in two rallies for the M-Sport team: Monte Carlo and Sweden. However, this is not the Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team, but a separate M-Sport operation.

Hanninen said, “My life’s ambition has been to compete at the highest level of rallying, the WRC, and succeed there. Now my wish has come true with the car M-Sport will provide me.”
