John Kennard

Kennard began navigating in 1972 and made his World Rally Championship debut in Finland in 1985. He subsequently made ad hoc appearances in the series before his partnership with Hayden Paddon turned him into a regular in 2010 when his fellow Kiwi secured a slot on the Pirelli Star Driver programme. A former member of Subaru’s now defunct world rally team, Kennard guided Paddon to the Production Car World Rally Championship crown in 2011 and will continue in his role in 2012 when they switch to the SWRC in 2012. Kennard’s best result in the WRC remains the third place he achieved in New Zealand in 1988 alongside Malcolm Stewart in an Audi Coupe Quattro.
