What is
SWRC?

The Super 2000 World Rally Championship is a WRC class for two-litre, four-wheel drive, non-turbo cars

The SWRC is for lightly modified cars homologated in the S2000 class. This category forms the basis for the premier World Rally Car class, although the World Rally Cars benefit from turbocharged engines together with other internal and external performance modifications.

The new R4 class, for enhanced Group N cars, will also run in the SWRC category.

Eight of the 13 WRC rallies this year count towards the Super 2000 competition, with entrants nominating seven from the eight rounds before the start of the season.
