Google BookmarksLeading FIA WRC Academy driver Timo van der Marel will do his bit for charity prior to the start of ADAC Rallye Deutschland next Thursday.
The Dutch ace is auctioning off the co-driver’s seat in his Ford Fiesta R2, used as standard in the young driver-training series, during the category shakedown from 11:00hrs-13:00hrs near Trier on Thursday 23 August.
Van der Marel has pledged to donate 25 per cent of the highest bid to the World Wildlife Fund. In addition to the co-driving opportunity in place of van der Marel’s regular navigator Erwin Berkhof, the winning bidder will also receive a ticket to access all special stages of Germany’s FIA World Rally Championship qualifier, which runs from 23-26 August.
