The Abarth Grande Punto driver sent a second update after retiring during Saturday’s competition because of a gear selection problem.
He’ll be back on Sunday as a SuperRally entry and will send a third and final update next week.
Here’s an excerpt from his latest blog:
“It’s especially difficult on slippery surfaces with hand-controls, but I felt like yesterday I had a good command of my Punto and pushed it to the max. I was surprised how dirty the stages were, but I always enjoy the challenge of tackling new conditions. I prefer stages where you can drive quickly, because slower, more complicated ones are physically much tougher when you use hand-controls.”
