to star at
Goodwood
show

Thierry Neuville will be back in action in a Citroen DS3 WRC when he makes his debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom this weekend.

Neuville, on a high following his fifth place finish on Brother Rally New Zealand last week, will be appearing alongside former FIA World Rally Championship stars Juha Kankkunen, Hannu Mikkola and Bjorn Waldegard at the motorsport extravaganza, which attracts more than 100,000 spectators annually.

“I’ve always kept a close eye on this event,” said Neuville, who will travel from his native Belgium to the event. “Last year Nicolas [Gilsoul, my co-driver] and I thought about going there as ordinary spectators so it’s great to be present as a participant.”

Neuville will demonstrate his Citroen on the venue’s famous all-asphalt hillclimb course and on the gravel-based Forest Rally Stage.

“I’m going to drive the DS3 in the hillclimb and the rally stage,” said Neuville, who is currently eighth overall in the WRC drivers’ standings. “It’ll be an excellent opportunity to give the crowd some thrills during a laid-back weekend.”

Juho Hanninen, the reigning FIA Super 2000 world champion, will also be appearing at Goodwood, as will Volkswagen Motorsport’s junior driver Andreas Mikkelsen.
