November: Dani Sordo had high hopes of winning RallyRACC-Rally de Espana but a troubled start to the WRC season-finale dictated otherwise and the home hero languished in ninth at the finish in Salou. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Sordo, whose tally of six stage wins in his MINI John Cooper Works WRC was more than event winner Sebastien Loeb managed. Sordo is pictured accelerating away from the famous hairpin 9.37 kilometres into the El Priorat stage used twice on the second day of the event. Behind Loeb, meanwhile, Jari-Matti Latvala marked his final outing in a factory Ford by finishing a close second with Mikko Hirvonen third in the second works Citroen.
