Ten questions
to: Dennis
Kuipers

Dennis Kuipers is contesting an expanded programme of world championship rallies this season at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta RS WRC. He spoke to Wrc.com about an "easy" school life and his penchant for club sandwiches.

What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
“There are many places but I like Sardinia. It’s a nice country with nice weather and the nature is very good.”

How well did you do at school?
“I was quite good. School was quite easy for me and it was going okay. I was good at most things.”

What was your favourite toy as a child?
“It would have been a toy racing car.”

If you were stranded on a desert island what three items would you need to survive?
“A nice woman and something to eat and to drink.”

If you hadn’t become a rally driver what job would you be doing now?
“A pilot in the air force, I’d really like to do that.”

What’s the most annoying thing about your co-driver Frederic Miclotte?

“His language! He’s from Belgium, of course we understand him because he speaks Dutch but it’s done in a strange way.”

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
“My father Rene. Okay he’s driving himself also but I discuss a lot of things with him.”

What’s in your favourite sandwich?
“A club sandwich with chicken and bacon. That’s very nice.”

What would you do on your perfect day off?
“Driving a rally car, that’s what I like.”

M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson is coming over for dinner. What would you cook for him?
“A really good steak with vegetables and potatoes. Maybe some classical English dish as well to make him happy.”
