Career summary:

Cato Menkerud started his co-driving career reading the notes for his father Helge on the 1000 Lakes rally in Finland in 1992. Since then he's worked with Birger Gundersen, Alexander Foss, Petter Solberg and, most recently, Petter's older brother Henning Solberg.

The pair won the Norwegian national title in 2002 and 2003 and have developed a solid working relationship together on the World Rally Championship scene that led to a full programme with the Ford Focus RS and the Stobart team in 2007. Despite a relative lack of experience at the top level of the sport, the duo had a solid year, with a season best third overall on their home event in Norway.

For 2008 the combination of a more event experience and a later spec of Ford Focus should allow Cato and Henning to seriously contest for podiums at every event.
