Leon is a big city, so before running off and booking a hotel it pays to do some research. Fortunately, in 2007 the organisers of Rally Mexico established a special agreement with all the major hotels in the region through the Leon Visitors and Conventions Office (OCV). This agreement helped stabilise prices across the region and means you can find all the hotel information in one convenient place on rally Mexico's excellent website: www.rallymexico.com

For rally spectators there is a wide range of accommodation available in the cities of Leon, Guanajuato and Silao. Leon is the main home of the rally, where all activities - excluding the start ceremony - take place.

Guanajuato is a beautiful colonial city located approximately 45 minutes from Leon and very close to Friday's stages. One of the most historically important cities in Mexico, Guanajuato is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a very good place to stay and combine tourism with the WRC. It's also the setting for one of the most spectacular starting ceremonies in the championship.

Silao is a small industrial city located approximately 30 minutes from Leon and with good access to most of Saturday's stages and the Superspecial Stage. Silao does not have many hotels so reservations should be made early. Most people, however, will choose to base themselves near the teams and drivers in Leon. The four-star Real de Minas, less than 50m from the Poliforum Rally HQ, is a popular choice, and its room rate of 80 euros per night is fairly typical of the hotels nearby. Most of the larger hotels are situated on the Boulevard Adolfo Lopez Mateos, which goes right past the Poliforum - the exhibition complex which houses the service area.
