What is your favourite holiday destination? “Anywhere with a bit of nature to it. Do I have to say somewhere specific? Okay, South Africa.”

What is your favourite road car? “Subaru Impreza, 1999-shape model.”

What is the most famous thing about Estonia? “That’s a tough one. I’m not sure there’s anything that’s very famous about Estonia. It used to be stag nights, but even that’s going away now. Hopefully, in future, it will be Ott Tanak.”

How do you think Ott will get on this year? “Hopefully he’ll just do what we asked him to do: finish rallies and learn a lot. That’s the main thing he needs to do this year.”

What’s your favourite rally? “I’ve got two: New Zealand and Sweden.”

What’s your favourite TV show? “Two and a Half Men, pre-Ashton Kutcher.”

What’s your party trick? “Avoiding answering the question during interviews.”

Which website do you visit most? “It’s probably Autosport.com, but I don’t really want to say that as it sounds like all I do is think about motorsport, when there are definitely more important things out there.”

What’s more difficult: being a driver or a team manager? “When you’re a driver, you think that nothing in the world could possibly be more difficult than being a driver. And then when you become a team manager, you realise you were completely wrong about that.”

What’s one book that everyone should read at least once in their lives? “One of the last books I read was the Steve Jobs book, but it’s probably not something that’s going to change your life. But there’s a book called ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki that can teach you a lot about finance. I thought it was good anyway.”
