Swedish Rally stage descriptions

Day three: Sunday 10 February

SS15/18 Ullen (16.25km)
The opening 13km of this stage are the same as last year, and then the second half uses part of the Sundsjon test from 2006 to finish. A medium-fast stage, it starts technical and twisty, and continues like that until two kilometres from the end when we have a fast downhill section. It's a bit of a difficult stage to make notes for; there are no jumps and not many junctions.

SS16/19 Lesjofors (10.49km)
This is exactly the same stage as we used last year. It's very narrow and technical at the start, more than anywhere else on the rally. We head through a farmyard just wide enough to squeeze the car through onto an open flat-out and flowing main road for the last five kilometres.

SS17/20 Rammen (21.87km)
This stage uses two sections of the classic Rammen stage - which we last drove in 2006 - followed by a section from last year's route. It's very fast indeed. Near the mid-point there are some open hairpins on a twisty uphill section, then it gets exceptionally fast again. It's flat in sixth gear for probably ten kilometres - crest after crest of flat-out corners. The final kilometre is twisty again, but the section three-quarters of the way through is probably the fastest of the rally.
