Post Rally Japan Q&A

Post Rally Japan Q&A

1 2

Next year's championship has fewer asphalt rallies than this year. How does that make you feel?
Comfortable! It's also only 12 rallies long, so I need to be faster but at the same time I need to keep the consistency I had this year. Hopefully it's going to be a good fight next year.

How have you developed as a driver this year?
In many ways, I think. I've got more raw speed, I'm more comfortable driving on the limit and I've definitely got better on tarmac as well - our speed there has been really good. We still need to develop the car a little bit but overall we've been getting a little bit faster everywhere.

The season's not over yet. What's your plan for Wales Rally GB?
The manufacturers' title is still open so we need to get the same results there as we did in Japan. If we do that, and if one of the Citroens retires, then that's it; we'll get the manufacturers' title. Hopefully we can get the same result - that's the plan - then we'll see what they [Citroen] are doing.

What do you think about Sebastien Loeb?
What can I say? Five titles, many, many victories. He's just really, really good. He's definitely one of the best WRC drivers there's ever been. I'm going to be really happy one day when I beat him.
