Paul Hembery, CEO Asia Pacific, Pirelli:We're back and we're glad to be back. We're also glad to have bought the champagne tonight - I'm sure you'll enjoy it and this new start for the sport. A lot of comments have been made about working together. I do sense there's a real feeling of that, once and for all we're going to get this sport moving in that direction.
We've been in the sport for a long time, for more than 100 years. Our first victory was Paris-Peking in 1907. We have a brand which is linked to high performance, predominantly linked to Sportscar. Rallying is the brand to take us around the world. We've been working hard during our year off, producing four new tyres. We'll go through 35,000 of them in the WRC and Junior and Production series this year. But, we don't just see this on the world level. We see rallying right through grass roots to the pinnacle, via the national championships we're involved in as well as WRC. We're here to promote the sport and we're very excited about the next one hundred years of Pirelli in motorsport.
