M-Sport head Malcolm Wilson announced on Monday that his company would enter up to three Ford Fiesta RS WRCs in the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship under the Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team banner with Mads Ostberg contesting a full programme and Nasser Al-Attyiah tackling seven events.
With 49 days to go until Rallye Monte-Carlo opens next year’s WRC title race, Wilson revealed his team was working non-stop to be ready for the new campaign.
“The partnership with Nasser and the Qatari State will enable M-Sport to continue at the pinnacle of the sport and we are looking forward to working together in the future,” said Wilson. “Since the 2012 season came to a close, work has not stopped and the entire team is working around the clock to ensure we deliver a strong package for next year.”
The Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team is due to announce its third driver shortly.
