Images of 2012: Lunar Loeb

WRC.com is looking back on the FIA World Rally Championship season just gone by picking out some of the epic images captured by the McKlein photographic agency that made 2012 one to remember.

April: As he so often does, Sebastien Loeb made victory in Argentina his with another display of brilliance for Citroen. Here Loeb charges through the lunar landscape of the El Condor/Casilla Negra stage on route to win number seven in South America. Mikko Hirvonen made it a rally to remember for Citroen by coming home in second place with Mads Ostberg a fine third following Dani Sordo’s late retirement. The Spaniard was making a one-off appearance for the factory Ford team in place of the injured Jari-Matti Latvala but was forced out with alternator failure with the finish almost in sight.
