WRC.com is looking back on the FIA World Rally Championship season just gone by picking out some of the epic images captured by the McKlein photographic agency that made 2012 one to remember.

September: The factory Ford team hadn’t won in the world championship since Jari-Matti Latvala’s victory on Rally Sweden in February. But that all changed when the Finn triumphed on Wales Rally GB following a dominant display in his Fiesta RS WRC. It could have been a Blue Oval one-two had Petter Solberg (pictured right with Latvala) managed to keep Sebastien Loeb at bay on the final day. Instead, the Norwegian settled for third, 0.9s behind Citroen’s nine-time world champion. It would be Solberg’s last podium finish as a works Ford pilot and the last time Latvala would win in Ford colours prior to his close-season switch to Volkswagen.
