Driving a MINI John Cooper Works WRC under the Equipe de France FFSA banner, the Corsican finished an impressive ninth overall on the asphalt event, his third start at world level.
He said: “I am delighted to have had the chance to fight alongside some of the most experienced drivers in the WRC and even more so to have scored my first ever points in the WRC. It’s perhaps not surprising that I want to do it all again very soon.”
Campana has lodged an entry for RallyRACC-Rally of Spain later this month. However, he still requires funding to take part on the mixed-surface event on the Costa Daurada.
Although details of his next WRC appearance are unclear, Campana will contest the French championship Rally Cevennes and Rally du Var in the coming weeks.
His outing on the Strasbourg event was made possible after he attracted supported from the French motorsport federation. “I cannot thank enough the FFSA, Drive-Pro, Michelin and all my other partners for giving me this excellent opportunity,” he said. “This second contest in the WRC has allowed me once again to acquire considerable experience.”
