The Spaniard and his co-driver Carlo Del Barrio crashed their Citroen’s DS3 World Rally Car during a demonstration lap of the Arawak off-road track in Buenos Aires on Saturday 28 April.
You can watch the footage here.
Sordo was negotiating a left-hand bend on soft ground when the car dug-in and rolled three times, eventually coming to rest on its side.
Neither driver was injured in the incident but it brought the event to an early end.
“There was a challenge between Seb, Mikko and me and it was really great fun, but I turned our road show into a roll show,” explained a sheepish Sordo.
The car, built by Citroen purely for demonstration events, was repaired in time for another day of promotion on Sunday, 900 kilometres away in the city of Cordoba.
Sordo was joined by Sebastien Loeb and Mikko Hirvonen for two events in Arroyo de la Cañada and Parque de las Tejas that attracted an estimated 50,000 spectators.
After driving along the dried out La Cañada canal that runs through the heart of the city in his DS3 WRC, Loeb was granted the freedom of the city by the mayor, Ramón Mestr.
All three drivers later transferred to nearby Villa Carlos Paz for the start of the Rally Argentina recce on Monday.
