2012?

WRC.com has drawn up a shortlist of 10 moments that made the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship memorable. Now it's down to you to decide what was the best moment of them all.

The Big Nine: Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena made it nine FIA World Rally Championship titles for Citroen with victory on Rallye de France Alsace in early October amid scenes of jubilation.

Fitting reward: Privateer Mads Ostberg impressed throughout 2012, winning in Portugal and claiming fourth in the final standings. His reward? Thirteen rounds with the new Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team next season.

Six-way battle: The Production Car World Rally Championship was settled following a six-way title-decider on the final round in Spain with Benito Guerra taking the honours.

Bentley bonanza: He might have missed out on a drive in the WRC this year but that didn’t stop Kris Meeke from turning up on Wales Rally GB in a Bentley Continental Sport GT to film for the BBC Top Gear television programme. He drove the car through the Hafren Sweet Lamb stage, no less (pictured).

Barcelona delights: A ceremonial start in the Catalan capital Barcelona added another exciting dimension to the WRC finale.

Latvala makes history: Jari-Matti Latvala became the first driver to win a WRC Qualifying Stage when he set the pace on Rally Sweden back in February. He opted to run 17th on the road and promptly won the event for Ford.

Salazar is a star: Eliseo Salazar completed his motorsport ‘star’ when he tackled Philips Rally Argentina having also taken part in the Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, Le Mans 24 Hours and Dakar Rally in the past.

He shoots and scores: Nasser Al-Attiyah missed out on two of the best WRC events of the season in New Zealand and Finland but the sacrifice was worth it when he took bronze in the men’s skeet shooting section of the London 2012 Olympics.

Legend returns: For a time he was one of the WRC’s most exciting talents. Closing on his 50th birthday, Francois Delecour proved he still has what it takes when he finished sixth overall on Rallye Monte-Carlo.

Hirvonen’s high: After missing out on victory in Portugal through exclusion, Mikko Hirvonen finally took his maiden win for Citroen with a strong display on Rally Italia Sardegna.
