The Final Push

Austrian driver Manfred Stohl is competing in this weekend's Wales Rally GB for the last time under the OMV brand as he lies eighth overall in the classification going into the final stage of the rally.

The 35-year-old OMV driver is 45.9 seconds behind seventh place Chris Atkinson, . After a difficult 2008 FIA World Rally Championship, Stohl is looking to finish the season with a points scoring position.

"It is a bit frustrating since last year we fought for victory. This year we're competing for eighth place. Somehow I expected more. But that probably was wishful thinking. If one takes a look at our results this season then we are right at where were at during the last 15 rallies."

If Stohl is able to keep the position, he and co-driver Ilka Minor will score points in Wales for the fifth time in a row.
