Following the BP-Ford team’s tactical manoeuvrings on Friday night, reluctant rally leader Sebastien Loeb remains first on the road through Saturday’s stages.
Ahead of him lie six stages in the same Anatolian mountain territory as day one, before a day ending second - and final - pass over the Superspecial stage at Antalya's Akdeniz University. In total the drivers will tackle 137.66 competitive kilometers.
After restarting from 0830hrs, drivers will tackle two pairs of mountain stages, separated by two 30-minute service halts at the rally’s base in Kemer. The day’s final two countryside stages, and the Superspecial, will be run as a final loop before crews return to Kemer at 2011hrs for the day ending 45-minute service.
Weather conditions remained hot, dry and sunny as crews made their way to the first stage. At 0830hrs the temperature at the end of SS10 was 23 degrees Celsius, but it is expected to exceed 30 degrees by early afternoon.
In an effort to let the dust settle between cars, WRC competitors will start each stage at three minute intervals, while the other classes will begin at two minute intervals.
With P-G Andersson, Chris Atkinson and Urmo Aava restarting as Superally entries, the WRC field is back to its original 16-car strength.
Here is the complete WRC starting order for today:
