The second day of the Acropolis Rally of Greece promises to be the toughest, with drivers reporting from the recce that the day’s three stages, which are each used twice, are the roughest of the event.
The day includes the longest stage of the rally, the fearsome 32.16km Aghii Theodori test - which is expected to be the roughest and rockiest in this year's championship
Competitors left the service park at Tatoi in blazing sunshine from 0830hrs to drive out for the first loop of the stages, which are all based in the countryside west of Athens.
The temperature on the Aghii Theodori stage was 26 degrees Celsius at 0930hrs, but is forecast to rise to the mid 30’s by mid afternoon.
After SS10 crews will return to Tatoi for a 30-minute service, before tackling the loop for a second time in the afternoon. Competitors will return to Tatoi for the overnight halt at 1831hrs.
