With his third win of the morning, Jari-Matti Latvala has completed the sweep of the first round of stages for day two. The Finnish, again, beat out Mikko Hirvonen at stage's end by just 2.6 seconds. Hirvonen, this time, did not have to share second place with team-mate Marcus Gronholm, as the younger BP-Ford driver beat out his countryman by 1.4 seconds.
Fourth went to Dani Sordo for the third time straight, as the Citroen driver, finished 2.1 seconds behind Gronholm. Sordo has had a consistent rally solidly placed in fifth overall. Sebastien Loeb brought his C4 to the day's halfway point fifth on the stage, 2.1 seconds behind his team-mate, and third overall. Henning Solberg was sixth, three seconds behind Loeb, and just 0.1 seconds in front of younger brother, Petter, in his Subaru Impreza. Matthew Wilson was eighth on the stage, a further 5.3 seconds behind Petter Solberg, but has closed the gap to the other Subaru works car of Chris Atkinson down to 3.1 seconds.
