Stobart Ford driver Gigi Galli lost around 15 seconds, and his third place, on Saturday’s third stage, the first pass through the 20km Kemer test.
The Italian said his Ford Focus RS WRC had lost engine power and this had caused him to drop back behind Sebastien Loeb on the leaderboard.
Despite the furious pace of the front-runners, Estonian Urmo Aava was the stage winner; the Citroen privateer taking his second win of the rally after restarting today as a Superally entrant.
Mikko Hirvonen was the closest driver to Aava’s pace and extended his rally lead by six seconds.
