SS10: Wilson Closes In

Matthew Wilson finished ninth on the stage and was over three seconds quicker than Chris Atkinson to the end, reigniting the battle for sixth overall. The Stobart driver is now a scant 0.3 seconds behind his Subaru competitor with three stages left to go on the day.

Jari-Matti Latvala seems to be repeating the same feat that Mikko Hirvonen pulled off yesterday, complete domination of the stage times. Latvala has made it four of four with another stage win, just 1.3 seconds ahead of Marcus Gronholm in second. Hirvonen finished third on the stage, a further 0.4 seconds behind his BP-Ford team-mate.

Sebastien Loeb was fourth on the stage, just 0.7 seconds ahead of team-mate Dani Sordo in fifth. Petter Solberg took sixth on the stage, an additional 2.2 seconds behind the Citroen pair. Xevi Pons brought his Subaru to seventh, just 2.5 seconds behind Solberg. Eighth on stage went to Henning Solberg three seconds adrift of the second Subaru.
