Dani Sordo will drive a Citroen C4 WRC on the OK Rally, a round of the Finnish National Championship, in preparation for the forthcoming Rally Finland.
Sordo competed on the OK Rally, based in Kouvola, last year and was leading the event before he crashed out. The Spaniard’s outing on the July 11-12 event is the first of numerous rally entries from leading drivers in the mid-season break.
PH Sport drivers Urmo Aava and Conrad Rautenbach will both compete on the South Estonia Rally a week later than the OK Rally, while Junior World Rally Championship leader Sebastien Ogier will prepare for Rally Deutschland by contesting the Eifel Rally on July 19.
Despite not being registered for the JWRC in Finland, Ogier will still contest the event, as will Production World Rally Championship leader Andreas Aigner, although the Austrian is not counting the Jyvaskyla rally towards his end of season total.
Ahead of all of those events, will be the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where World Rally Championship leader Mikko Hirvonen will drive a Focus RS WRC 07 up the famous hill. Subaru will be present at the British event in force, with all three of its drivers: Markko Martin, Chris Atkinson and Petter Solberg present and driving on one each of the three days of the event.
