Rautenbach crashes on Superspecial

Conrad Rautenbach has crashed out of Rallye Monte Carlo on the final Superspecial stage.

The Zimbabwean driver lost control of his Citroen Xsara WRC as he approached the swimming pool section of the Monaco street circuit. His car spun around and hit a concrete wall rear-on, damaging its right-rear corner.

Rautenbach had been lying 21st overall before the accident - which was his second of the event. On Friday he re-started as a SupeRally competitor after going off the road during SS1 on Thursday night.
