Saturday’s second day of Rally Argentina is held over roads south of Carlos Paz in the Calamuchita valley. Typically, the roads of day two are sandier and faster than those of day one.
After starting from 0610hrs, drivers face two identical loops of four tests, split by a return to Carlos Paz for service in the middle of the day. The leg ends with a second pass over the short test at Cordoba's soccer stadium before competitors reach the final overnight halt at 2010hrs after 154.38km of competition.
All 14 of the original WRC starters began day two, including the Superally re-starters Toni Gardemeister, Mikko Hirvonen, Henning Solberg and Per-Gunnar Andersson.
Light rain was falling as cars left Carlos Paz but conditions on the stages were not as bad as they had been on day one. Some light fog was reported on the first stage but the road surface was damp rather than waterlogged.
The running order is based on the overall positions at the end of day one, which puts Sebastien Loeb through the stages first, followed by Chris Atkinson then Petter Solberg.
Here’s the day two running order for the WRC crews:
13. H. Solberg
14. P-G Andersson
