Over the next 12 days, WRC.com will be looking back on the FIA World Rally Championship season just gone by picking out some of the epic images captured by the McKlein photographic agency that made 2012 one to remember.

January: Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena get their 2012 FIA World Rally Championship campaign off to a winning start with a dominant victory on Rallye Monte-Carlo. Competing in a Citroen DS3 WRC, Loeb and Elena were fastest on half of the 18 stages run, including the event-closing Power Stage to earn a total of 28 points in their quest for world title number nine. Dani Sordo finished second for MINI with Petter Solberg completing the podium on his return to the factory Ford squad.
